Stay the Course, Weary Sailor

When a ship encounters a storm, it doesn’t turn around and head for home. It stays the course.

When a plane hits turbulence, it doesn’t descend and make for the nearest airport.

It rises above the clouds into the still air above.

When one of Christ’s children faces the fiery trials of life, he should never jump out of the Refiner’s fire and into the “cooling” waters of complacent compromise.

Instead he must remember that like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, he’s not in the fire alone.

Stay the course, weary sailor. Rise above the clouds into Heaven, my friend. Remain in the fire a little longer, child of God.

Because you will come out as gold.
